It's not secret. In today's American society, white "well-to-do" males have the advantage on the entire population. They are in no way shape or form oppressed. The most oppressed there could be today would be a transgender African American women. There's something terribly wrong with this entire country.
For me, Leon Festinger's Dissonance Theory becomes ever so relevant when it comes to situations such as these. I don't believe in movements. Before anyone who reads this takes that wrongly, allow me to explain.
I don't believe in movements because, in all honesty, there shouldn't be the need for them. I hate the mere fact that we have to have them at all. No one should believe that they are better than anyone else. At least not till their older and they have lived to tell the tales of their triumph.
The world is changing ever so fast. Human beings are beginning to realize that everyone is different and that's just fine.
Maybe one day the politicians will be tired of waging a war against the oppressed because as history has shown, in some way, the oppressed win, either in a small or massive way. There are more oppressed people than there are those in power.
To you all, I say keep recording documenting hatred. Those who have hatred in their soul have a deeper hatred for themselves. There is so much anger within them that, when they are yelling at putting you down, it really has nothing to do with you; they just hate themselves and can't admit it.
I think it's ridiculous that an officer "having not know that the confederate flag would offend anyone" can be fired but when there is an officer who blatantly abuses his power and beats a black man or shoots one down because they believed him to be dangerous, what happens to them? An investigation is held in order to assess the situation and, to keep them off the streets, they are put on paid administrative leave. I'm sure many of the officers have families that need the income so I understand. The investigation on the other hand? If there is a video or substantial amount of evidence, fire the man.
This is the second action that contradicts my beliefs. Get even. To an extent. By this I DON'T MEAN, eliminating officer who are actually doing their job the right way. I'm saying, begin to show those who aren't oppressed what oppression feels like. In the businesses that don't allow a certain group of people to be served or allowed in, don't allow them to receive business or at least lower the quality of their business. This should only apply to those who are ever so clearly for the opposition and oppression.
